Teflon™ AF (amorphous fluoropolymer) resins can be fabricated into thin films, coatings, and smooth-surfaced products or molded into high-performance mechanical parts. Teflon™ AF resin is creep-resistant, stiff, and inert to chemical attack, making it an excellent choice for handling the intensive conditions faced by the military.
Teflon™ PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) coatings also deliver the results that demanding military applications require. Resistant to corrosive chemicals and able to withstand extreme heat and cold, these water-repellent, nonstick coatings are used in such military equipment as:
